Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026
This policy explains how Casovina, a brand operated by Casovina LLC, collects, uses and discloses personal information when you visit casovina.store or make a purchase.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Section 5 covers the one nuance to that under state law.
1. Who we are

2. What we collect
Device information Browser type, IP address, time zone, cookie data, pages and products viewed, search terms and general site interactions.
Why: to display the site correctly, keep it secure, and understand how it's used so we can improve it. How: automatically, through cookies, log files and similar technologies.
Order information Name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, and the contents of your order.
Why: to fulfill your order, take payment, arrange shipping, send confirmations, screen for fraud, and — where you've opted in — send you relevant offers. How: directly from you at checkout.
Payment information Card details are entered into our payment processor's secure form and never reach our servers. We receive a payment confirmation, the last four digits and the card type.
Customer support information Whatever you include when you contact us, plus your email address.
From third parties Shopify, our payment processors and our shipping partners provide the information needed to complete your order.
3. How we use it
| Purpose | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Fulfilling your order | Payment, shipping, delivery updates, returns |
| Account management | Creating and maintaining your account |
| Customer service | Answering questions, resolving problems |
| Fraud prevention | Verifying transactions, screening suspicious orders |
| Site improvement | Understanding how the site is used |
| Marketing | Email and advertising, where you've opted in or the law permits |
| Legal compliance | Tax, accounting, recordkeeping, defending claims |
Unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any email. Order-related messages continue regardless — we need those to complete your purchase.
4. Who we share it with
- Shopify — our e-commerce platform (privacy policy)
- Payment processors — payment and fraud screening
- Shipping and fulfillment partners — delivering your order
- Google Analytics — site statistics (privacy policy · opt out)
- Advertising partners — ad measurement and targeting
- Shopify Audiences — showing our advertising to shoppers likely to be interested, using purchase and email information
We may also disclose information where required by law, subpoena or court order, or where necessary to protect our legal rights or public safety. If the business is sold or merged, customer records may transfer as part of that.
Categories disclosed in the past 12 months: identifiers (contact details), customer records (name, address, payment confirmation), commercial information (order and support history), internet activity (browsing data), and approximate geolocation derived from IP address — each to the recipient types above.
We don't use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
5. "Sale" and "sharing" of personal information
We do not sell personal information for money.
However, when advertising and analytics cookies run, information about your browsing reaches advertising partners. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and several other state privacy laws, that counts as "sharing" — and sometimes as a "sale" — regardless of whether payment changes hands.
To opt out:
- Use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our footer
- Adjust your cookie preferences on this site
- Enable Global Privacy Control in your browser — we honor GPC signals
- Email us at support@casovina.store
You can also opt out industry-wide at optout.aboutads.info (Digital Advertising Alliance) or networkadvertising.org (Network Advertising Initiative).
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
6. Cookies
| Type | What it does | Optional? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Cart, checkout, login, security | No — the site won't work without these |
| Functional | Remembers preferences and settings | Yes |
| Analytics | Traffic and performance measurement | Yes |
| Advertising | Ad targeting and measurement | Yes |
Some cookies expire when you close your browser; others persist from 30 minutes up to two years.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings or our cookie banner. Disabling essential cookies will break checkout. Blocking cookies alone may not stop all data sharing with advertising partners — see section 5 for the opt-out routes that do.
Do Not Track: browsers send DNT signals inconsistently and there's no agreed standard, so we don't act on them. Global Privacy Control is different — we honor it.
7. Automated decision-making
Our payment processor uses limited automated fraud-prevention measures, including temporary IP and card blocking after repeated failed transactions.
These don't produce legal or similarly significant effects. If you believe a legitimate transaction has been blocked, contact us and we'll look into it.
8. How long we keep it
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Order and transaction records | 7 years — tax and accounting |
| Account information | Until you delete your account |
| Marketing contacts | Until you unsubscribe |
| Customer support correspondence | 2 years after the matter closes |
| Site analytics | 26 months |
| Fraud prevention records | 3 years |
Where a dispute or legal claim is live, the relevant records stay as long as needed. Otherwise they're deleted or stripped of anything identifying.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights:
Know / access — what we hold about you, and how we've used and shared it Correction — fix anything inaccurate or incomplete Deletion — delete your information, except records we're legally required to keep Portability — receive a copy in a usable format Opt out of sale or sharing — see section 5 Limit use of sensitive information — where that right applies Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from marketing at any time Appeal — if we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision Non-discrimination — we won't charge you different prices or refuse service for exercising these rights
California residents (CCPA/CPRA) additionally have the right to know the categories collected, used and disclosed over the previous 12 months — set out in sections 2 and 4.
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Montana and other states with comprehensive privacy laws hold substantially similar rights.
To make a request: email support@casovina.store with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We'll verify your identity — usually by confirming details of a recent order — and respond within 45 days. If a request is complex enough to need longer, we'll say so. An authorized agent may act on your behalf with proof of authorization.
There's no charge for a privacy request.
10. Security
We use SSL/TLS encryption across the site, restrict internal access to staff who need it, and use a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor so card numbers never reach our systems.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we won't claim otherwise.
If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we'll notify you as required by applicable state law.
11. Children
Our site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has shared information with us, contact us and we'll delete it.
12. Third-party websites
Our site may link to sites operated by others. This policy doesn't cover them, and we're not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review theirs before providing anything.
13. Complaints
Contact us first — most things get resolved directly.
If our response doesn't satisfy you, you may appeal by replying to it, or lodge a complaint with your state attorney general.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, our services or the law. The current version is always on this page with the date at the top.
